Tilda's Christmas

This is one of the super-cute Tilda's from the latest Magnolia Christmas collection. Kind of sums up my decorating efforts really ;)

All the papers for my Christmas cards this year have come from my Lime Twist paper pad - I nearly cleaned out the entire pad, woo hoo! Of course she is coloured with Copics, and I have added gems. The sentiment is an older Stampin'  Up! Christmas set.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

Marvellous Magnolia - Anything Goes

Totally Tilda - Anything Goes

Speccy Christmas card

Not all my cards were simple, I went on a bit of a Christmas "Stamp-age" from about October, hoarding all the cute Christmas stamps I could find :)

Jingle all the way

Geez, I will be hard-pressed for cheesy post titles between now and Christmas for all of my Christmas cards ;) lol

This card is for the challenge over at my old stomping ground; Creative Card Crew! I have again used my Tim Holtz stamp (I did mention earlier that this baby would see a fair bit of ink! Lol) The challenge is Holly or Poinsettia, and my DSP has holly on it. I'm fairly sure the front DSP is Bo Bunny? The inside DSP is Kaisercraft though. All edges have been distressed and inked with Brushed Corduroy, and I have used some leftover Simple Stories stickers, as well as some rhinestones to embellish the front of the card.

Here is the link for the challenge:

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 51: Holly or Poinsettia

Thanks for stopping by! I have some bright and cheery Christmas cards to show next week :)

Jolly Sketchy Christmas

Hey! Thanks for stopping by :) Today's card is *gasp* not a Copic card!

I have used the gorgeous sketch over at The Sketchy Challenges (link at end of post). The stamp is an old Tim Holtz one that I recently bought. I can tell already, it is going to get some MAJOR ink! The papers are a combination of Bo Bunny and Simple Stories. The stickers on the card are Simple Stories. All edges have been distressed and DI-ed with Brushed Corduroy.

Here is the inside of my card

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Challenges I would like to enter are:

Sketchy time

Hi and welcome back :)

Today's card features one of my new favourite Tilda's - Joyful Tilda. She has seemed so hard to get; everywhere I looked to buy her, she had sold out, so I was very happy to see her finally available a few months ago (it's a bit naughty that I haven't coloured her sooner!)

I have followed the sketch over at Sketchy Challenges (see the link at the end of this post). Again, another fun sketch to play with! I have used Bazzil cardstock, Prima Botanicals papers, Stampin'  Up! seam binding, Queen & Co. pearls, Glitz and Echo Park alpha stickers for the sentiment, and of course, coloured with my Copics, edges are all distressed and inked with DI Antique Linen.

These are the challenges I would like to enter:

Marvellous Magnolia Challenges - Challenge 54 Anything Goes

New baby

Hi and welcome back to my little piece of blog space. Today's card is for my best friend and her husband who are expecting their first baby. I'm really excited about how this card turned out, it has taken me a few days to make (almost a week!), thanks to a sick little bub.

Inside my card:

Anyhoo, I have lots going on this card  - well, for me anyway :) I have inked up this cute little Tilda with my Copics on Xpress-It cardstock. the papers are Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings - I LOVE this paper pad! It's almost empty now though :( The dies are Doohickey Fence, Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Large Ovals and Grand Labels One, and Tim Holtz Tattered Florals. I have DI-ed all the edges and flowers with Old Paper, and also used a Hero Arts text stamp and DI Old Paper on the little fence. I have fran-taged the fence, and around the image.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Tilda's Town - Challenge #77 Anything Goes

Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Challenge #221 - Debbie D's Sketch

Tilda in Autumn

Hi! My card today has a real Autumn/Fall feel to it, to coincide with a few challenges.

I used the sketch from The Sketchy Challenges (link is at the bottom of the post), and decided to be a wee bit cheeky, and use the sketch on both the outside and the inside of my card. It was a super fun sketch to play with, and I found it worked really well on the inside, as sometimes it seems like there is a lot of " white space" on a 6" square card.

Outside of my card:

Inside of my card:

I have used lots of lovely autumn tones to colour up the gorgeous Tilda from the Turning Leaves collection - probably one of my favourite Magnolia collections, and coordinated it with some Graphic 45, Tim Holtz, Pink Paislee and Little Miss Sunshine papers. All edges have been distressed and inked with Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy DI, and to embellish, I have used washi tape, a Cheery Lynn doily die, Tim Holtz tickets, and Knick Knackeries pearls on the outside, and Kaisercraft brads on the inside. Other dies used are Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Standard Large Ovals, Standard Circles. Stamps used are Hero Arts (the large text paper on the front is actually this stamp) and Darkroom Door for the sentiment on the inside. Cardstock is Bazzill and X-Press It. Spunky little Tilda is coloured with my Copics (of course!)

Challenges I would like to enter are:

And hopefully my card is Autumny enough for the following challenges: *NB: Ladies, I have used Autumn colours for my card, as well as the Tilda from the Turning Leaves collection, so I hope this fits with your challenges :)

Thanks for stopping by, make sure you pop back, as I will have some great Lime Tart projects coming up very soon :)

Sketchy time!

Howdy! I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend! It has been beautiful here in my little part of Aus, although the smoke from the bushfires has made its way down to us. Sending out positive thoughts and prayers to all affected at the moment.

On to my card today, this is my first entry ever into The Sketchy Challenges. I have followed the blog for a long time, as I have most of the DT blogs saved in my 'favourites' folder, and I have finally plucked up the courage to 'throw my hat into the ring'.

Close-up of my paper-pieced butterfly stamps

Inside of my card

It is a beautiful sketch this fortnight, and I have to admit, usually I'm a tightwad when it comes to my papers, so it took me out of my comfort zone using so many! Although it gave me a great chance to use up some scraps of my beloved Echo Park and Crate Paper papers.

*Sketchy design team ladies - the top layer is actually the whole white card, the doohickey tag is behind the layer, and fussy cut to look like it is between layers, but it's the diagonal panel behind the top layer in the sketch :)

The other challenge I am entering is another first for me too! Another wonderful challenge blog that I have eyed off for a long time is Creative Knockouts (formerly Dutch Dare), and I have paper-pieced the wings on my little butterflies, to match the papers of the card.

The stamps I have used are Darkroom Door and Pink Paislee

Inks are Stampin'  Up! Early Espresso, and TH DI Old Paper (on all edges, with distressing)

Die is Magnolia Doohickey

Embellies are pink ruffled trim, TH Idealogy tag, brads, liquid pearls

Cardstock is Stampin'  Up! and Bazzill

The links to the challenges I am entering are below:

Thanks so much for stopping by! There will be more projects up this week :)

Frankie Says... Relax

Yep, I'm an eighties baby, so old enough to know (and love!) this song. I cannot believe I have finally managed to sit down and create a card just for a few challenges! It is so wonderful and refreshing :)

I have made this card for three challenges. The challenge links are at the bottom of the post.

Ok, so I started with the beautiful Yoga Tilda, as I was inspired by the song "Relax" from the funky Frankie Goes to Hollywood, coloured with my beloved Copics on X-Press It card. I have made an easel card using Spellbinders Floral Ovals, and Classic Large Ovals, TH Brushed Corduroy DI around all the edges (plus a little distressing), and Frantage-d around the top layer. I have die-cut flowers using TH Tattered Florals, and Movers & Shapers butterflies, added brads all over, and some pink trim, topped with yellow cotton lace and a flower resin cameo. Papers are Crate Paper and Echo Park.

Please excuse the large number of pics, I was so happy with how the card turned out, I couldn't stop taking pics! Lol

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simply Magnolia - Flowers and Lace - my flowers on the front, as well as floral paper, and a flower resin cameo. I have also used yellow cotton lace on top of the pink trim inside the card

Midweek Magnolia - Song Bird - my song inspiration is Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood :)

Magnolia-Licious - Shaped Cards - my florally oval shaped card :)

Creative Card Crew news

It's with a heavy heart that I step down from the wonderful CCC team, for now. I have been overwhelmed with commitments for a while now, and I only seem to have been getting deeper and deeper down. Mari. The beautiful lady who owns the challenge blog, has been a great boss, and I look forward to rejoining the team down the track,

It's onwards and upwards though, so pop back through the week, as I hope to have some projects to show you :)

Lime Tart Marker Monday

Geez I'm late for this one, it's almost time for another marker Monday post (pop back next Monday for that one)

But head on over to the lime Tart Zest blog for my marker Monday post. I created a card for my daughter's 6th birthday :)

Creative Card Crew #44 - Things with wings

Welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew! We have Delicious Doodles as our sponsor. They have sooo many lovely images, and have generously offered a choice of 4 digis to the lucky winner this fortnight.

I have used the lovely hydrangea and butterfly image, and used my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch to add some extra butterflies. I wanted a feminine, floaty card :)

Please excuse the poor lighting!

We can't wait to see how you have been inspired this fortnight, so spread those wings and play along :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew #43 - Down on the farm

Welcome to another challenge over at Creative Card Crew this fortnight! Our challenge this fortnight is "Down on the farm", and we are sponsored by the ever-wonderful Scrapping Center with a $15 gift voucher up for grabs!

Here is my card for the challenge, it's a birthday card for my spunky hubby who had a birthday this weekend just passed.

Like most people, my grandparents had a farm (E-I-E-I-O), and on that farm they had machinery (E-I-E-I-O) - okay, enough of that joke. Anyway, when I saw this Darkroom Door stamp, it struck me as perfect for this challenge, because my grandparents had an identical truck down past their wood-heap, next to the silos. By the time I was old enough to remember it, it was rusted out and rotting, but before the snakes really overtook it, we used to climb up into it and pretend we were driving. So whenever I see old trucks like this, it reminds me of my grandparents farm :)

We look forward to seeing your farm-related projects for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew #41 - Baby girl or lots of pink!

Welcome to another challenge over at Creative Card Crew! We have a somewhat sentimental theme this fortnight, in honour of the arrival of Mari's beautiful little grand-daughter, so we want to see a card for a baby girl, or a card featuring lots of pink! We are very lucky to be sponsored by the ever-brilliant Scrapping Center, who have a $15 gift voucher up for grabs.

Here is my project for the challenge (Jenn, no peeking!!! Lol)

My card (or cards) this fortnight sort of incorporates both themes, as I gave birth to a beautiful little girl just over three months ago. We were very blessed to be spoilt with so many well-wishes from family and friends, including one of my Creative Card Crew teamies, Jenn, who spoiled me with this beautiful card, from across the pond :)

So of course, I HAD to create some thank-you cards, to show our appreciation. I would have loved to do Copic thank-you cards, but with around 20 to do, while juggling three small children, it just wasn't going to happen!

I have used a variety of pink coloured DSP, so that the cards were "same same, but different". The heart stamp is from Stampin' Up! (You Are Loved), and the sentiment is also Stampin' Up! (Teeny Tiny Sentiments - my go-to for most cards!). The cardstock and ink are Stampin' Up! Raspberry Ripple, from last year's In Colour release. I have finished off with a variety of pink and/or florally washi tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and we look forward to checking out your creations!

On your graduation

A non-DT card, a rare occurrence these days ;)

This card is for my sister, who has just completed her Certificate III in Visual Art Design. I was lucky enough to check out her exhibition, and was blown away by her artwork. She had used melted crayons, canvas and paint to create an abstract series entitled "The Seven Deadly Sins". It was really beautiful. I have used this gorgeous Saturated Canary image, as it was the most artsy one I had.

She is so much fun to colour! I was a little intimidated at first, due to the multiple layers of clothing, but I just can't wait to colour her up again, as I have so many more ideas!

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday.

Here are the links to the challenges I am entering:

Saturated Canary - Challenge 47: Celebration
Sketch Saturday - Week 266 (my second entry)

Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I will have a few more projects to post soon!

Creative Card Crew #40 - The Great Outdoors

Welcome to another fabby challenge over at Creative Card Crew this fortnight! We are after some outdoorsy inspiration, so would like to see you make an outdoors-themed project.

Our sponsor for the challenge is Crafty Sentiments Designs who have 3 digi images up for grabs!

Here is my project for the challenge. This little dude was such a pleasure to colour, and I imagine he is going to become a firm favourite amongst my collection :)

I have used Kaisercraft Hunt & Gather papers for the card, finished off with some washi tape and a clip.

We look forward to seeing your outdoorsy creations!

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

CCC #39 - No DSP

I have to admit, this fortnights challenge over at Creative Card Crew had me a little bit peaky. I lurrrve my papers! However it turned out to be a whole lot of fun. There were so many options to choose from; embossing, die-cutting, stamping directly onto cardstock, just to name a few. I went with embossing, as I had a beautiful digi-stamp to ink up, that created a scene without needing any fancy background.

Our sponsor for this fortnight is the fabulous Scrapping Center

They have generously donated a $15 gift voucher for a lucky winner!

Here is my card for the challenge. This image is quite a special one, as the lovely Krista over at Saturated Canary designed it specially for Mari, the lovely lady who runs our challenge blog. It was available at a special price, and all proceeds went to Mari's daughter, whose house was destroyed in the terrible Oklahoma cyclones that recently struck.

We hope you will play along with our challenge! Thanks for stopping by :)
