Creative Card Crew #102 Christmas Feast

Hi and welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew! The theme du jour is 'Christmas Feast'. In my opinion, a Christmas feast isn't one without family around, so I have based my card around that.

I think the image is from Sprinkle 'n' Sparkle (I love using sentiments as the main feature on a card). The paper is the very last of my Magnolia paper, I have Frantaged around the edges, and the layers are matted onto one of my last few sheets of Stampin' Up! Baked Brown Sugar :(

I can't wait to see what you create!

There is still time to enter the challenge!

Have a great week :)

Crafty Boots Challenges - Remembrance

I am late posting my card for Crafty Boots Challenges Remembrance challenge, unfortunately my hubby has been monopolising the computer recently for his university exams.

Here is my card

I am so pleased with how this card turned out! The stamp set (Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree) has been on my wishlist for years, and I finally bought it. The background is a Kaleidoscope pad, and already a firm favourite in my collection. The sentiment is from SU Sheltering Tree.

There are still a few days left to join in the challenge, and we would love you to share your creations with us!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Crafty Boots Challenges mid-challenge reminder Halloween/Autumn

My card today is for Crafty Boots Challenges mid-challenge reminder; Halloween/Autumn .

I had a play with my distress inks to get this background. There are some amazing tutorials on YouTube. I'm a huge fan of Kristina Werner, so please check her out if you haven't already done so! The stamps I have used are both Stampin' Up! (Best of Halloween, Sheltering Tree), and I have stamped across washi tape to create my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see your interpretation for the challenge.

Creative Card Crew: Challenge #98 Ribbon

I'm back with another card, this time for Creative Card Crew's latest challenge; 'Ribbon'.

One of my fave digi stamp companies is sponsoring this challenge, 'A Day For Daisies' offering a great prize to a lucky winner!

Here is my card for the challenge

I have used the cute Ladybug Hello and inked up a background with Kaleidoscope 'Autumn Leaves' on gloss cardstock. The sentiment is stamped from Stampin'  Up! Guy Greetings. The DSP is of course from a Stampin' Up! pack, but the name eludes me at the moment. The cardstock and ribbon are both Stampin' Up! Crushed Curry.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Boots Challenges: Pink challenge

My card today is for Crafty Boots 'Pink' challenge. With three little girls, pink is no problem in this house! LOL. It was my eldest daughter's birthday recently, so a perfect opportunity to make a card for her that fit into this challenge.

Excuse the messy craft mat, but, a messy mat is a good mat (as long as the ink is dry of course).

Materials used are:

Cardstock and ink: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Memento Tuxedo Black.
Stamp set: Stampin' Up! 'Just Jawin' '
Embossing folder: Crafter's Companion 'Happy Birthday'

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew: Challenge #97

Hi and welcome back to another fabulous challenge at Creative Card Crew! Our challenge this fortnight is 'masculine', and we are sponsored by Eureka Stamps, who are offering a fabulous prize of 3 digi images to a lucky winner.

Here is my card, using 'Being a father'.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Brushed Corduroy" around the edges, and the DSP is THE LAST SHEET of my Kaisercraft Christmas pad. I love how versatile that pad is/was! It will be sadly missed.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew - Fall

Welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew. Our challenge this fortnight is Fall. Here in Australia, it is the complete opposite of Fall - YAY FOR WINTER BEING OVER!

Here are my cards for the challenge

This was one of those stamp sets that I didn't want until it retired, which was frustrating, but I got it at a very reasonable price, so yay! It's the first time I have played with it, and I couldn't decide which of the cards I wanted to post for the challenge, so I thought I would just upload both. Both cards use all the same materials:

Stamps: SU French Foliage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: SU Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: SU Calypso Coral, Whisper White

The only difference is I inked over the white space on the left card, then spritzed some water. It really softened the inks.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week.

Craty Boots Challenges - Monochrome

Hi, and welcome to a post for Crafty Boots Challenges! Our theme for this fortnight is monochrome. I am a huge fan of monochromatic cards; they look so simple, yet fabulous!

Here is my card for the challenge

I have used Darkroom Door's Old Truck. I have used the Triple Time Stamping technique (check out YouTube for some fantastic tutorials), inked with Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy. The card stock is Stampin'  Up! Baked Brown Sugar (sadly, I am down to my last few sheets :( boo). The sentiment is from Stampin'  Up! Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The DSP used is Kaisercraft 25 Days of Christmas. It's the last sheet from that pad, which is a shame, as it was such a versatile pad; not just useful at Christmas.

Funny story about this card, I originally had planned to give it to my dad for Father's Day, but my husband kept dropping "subtle hints" all week about how much he loved the card, and it was his favourite stamp, etc., so poor dad got Plan B, and hubster got this one.

Have a great week! I will be back with another card later today :)

Crafty Boots Challenges MID CHALLENGE REMINDER

Here is my card for the Fair & Square mid-challenge reminder. I have had the idea for this card in my head for two weeks, but finding the time to sit down and craft proved tricky.

I've gone for both "fair" (colours) and "square" (card shape) with my card, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I have used almost all Stampin' Up goodies here:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Dies: Bold Butterfly, Butterflies
Inks: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride
Cardstock: Twiddlybitz Kraft pre-made card base

I can't wait to see your beautiful entries! We've already had some amazing projects.

I then used some Tim Holtz die cuts to create a mask to spray some Dylusions spray, and some Tattered Angels glimmer spray. For my chipboard elements I covered them with Gesso and Kindyglitz.

Thanks for stopping by, I can't wait to see your sparkly creations!

Crafty Boots - MID CHALLENGE REMINDER Things with wings

Hi, my card today is for the mid challenge reminder over at Crafty Boots Challenges

I have had this image coloured up for ages, but haven't found the *right* card or occasion, until one of my daughters had a birthday party last weekend, and I knew she was perfect! It's Saturated Canary Ladybird (I think ?) The papers I think are My Minds Eye, the ribbon is from my stash, and the stickers are American Craft. The cardstock is Stampin Up! Blushing Bride.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back next week with some more inspiration.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenge

The Ribbon Girl - Female/Mother

Crafty Boots - Spring time

Hi and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges. There were so many amazing entries! Actually, I should say every single entry was just amazing! So much inspiration there, so thank you so much for joining in the challenge.

We have a new challenge this fortnight; spring. It's now Autumn in Australia, so this challenge is a nice reminder of what I have to look forward to in September :)

Here is my project

This is attempt number 2 at watercolouring with Distress Markers. Let me tell you, I enjoyed it a whole more this time, and I can't wait to practice some more! The stamp is from an old Stampin Up! Set, Summer By The Sea, which I got for a steal in a buy-swap-sell group. I've used Archers watercolour paper to colour it in. The DSP is Echo Park Up, Up, and Away, and the sentiment is also from Summer By The Sea. The card is made using Baked Brown Sugar cardstock.

I can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for joining us this fortnight :)

Crafty Boots mid-challenge reminder - Anything but a card

So have we spooked you with the challenge this fortnight? If so, fear not! We have even more fab DT inspiration for you over at Crafty Boots Challenges

Here is my project

I have used the Lotus Blossom stamp set (currently available in the Stampin Up! Saleabration catalogue), Elegant Eggplant and Wisteria Wonder inks, and the sentiment is from Stampin Up! Summer by the sea. I have finished it off with some pearls and Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon.

This isn't the first candle I have altered, you can check out my other project here, and there is a tutorial for it here which was my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew - #82 Green as main colour

Gah, computer troubles again! Am I the only one having issues with Blogger and Internet Explorer 11? I hope they resolve it quickly!

Marianne Designs
Prize: Surprise!

Prize: 5 lb. Gift Voucher

Here is my card for the challenge

I wanted a vintage feel for this card, because the image seems to vintage, so once it printed, I dabbed off some excess ink.

The background was create with Kaleidoscope Autumn Leaves and a brayer on gloss cardstock. I have used Adorning Hearts framelits and Hexagon embossing folder on Wild Wasabi cardstock, backed on to Baked Brown Sugar, and finished of with Wild Wasabi ribbon. The sentiment is Maya Road.

I hope you get a chance to play along if you haven't already done so :)

Crafty Boots Challenges - Anything but a card

He he... I told you this challenge would be a doozy! I LOVE creating Beyond The Page projects, so when it was my turn to choose a challenge for Crafty Boots Challenges, I couldn't go past this one!

I have created a corner bookmark (tutorial available here ). I created it for my uni textbooks; it was a great chance to use one of my Tim Holtz motivational quote stamps.

The paper selvedges are always the first part I cut off, but I'm fairly certain the paper is Echo Park, the brass and resin embellishments were gifted to me, the stamp set as mentioned is Tim Holtz, the butterflues are Stampin' Up! Cottage Garden (inked with Pool Party and Crushed Curry), the white cardstock is actually a Project Life card that I chomped down. The black strip was cut using the Martha Stewart Butterfly Edging punch, and the bottom of the bookmark was punched using the EK Success Notebook Edge (?) punch.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to check out your creations :)

All edges have been distressed and inked using DI Iced Spruce, the papers are Kaisercraft Timeless (black and white), and I have used Stampin' Up! basic pearls in her hair, and the Basic Rhinestones in the corners. I have used Glossy Accents in the corners of the image, and sprinkled some silver glitter on it to stick. The sentiment is from American Crafts (some stickers).

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge

Crafty Boots - Hearts and valentines MID CHALLENGE REMINDER

I am embarrassingly late posting this project for our Crafty Boots Valentines/Hearts challenge. Unfortunately back-to-school preparations for two of my children took up most of my time and energy last week.

Here is my card

Please excuse the poor lighting here, our summer has been a strange one this year; I have had to whip out the trackie pants and jumpers on a few occasions!

This card features my absolute favourite paper stack; Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime. It's from the 12x12 pad, which included this lovely Postcard diecut. I LOVE postcards, and this one just seems so romantic :)

I have used my Stampin'  Up! Triple heart punch and Pistachio Pudding cardstock, some pearls, and punched the sentiment using the Stampin' Up! Modern Label punch and Word Window Punch. The sentiment itself is from the Stampin'  Up! Nursery Necessities stamp set. I have tried to keep it more vintage, rather than cutesy, so I can give it to my hubby for Valentine's Day.

I do hope you will get a chance to play along, it is such a great challenge, and just in time for Valentine's day :)

The sentiment is from Stampin'  Up! Tea Shoppe and Modern Label punch. The papers are Prima, fairybelle collection. They are gorgeous! I have had the pad for a few years now, but have always thought it was "too pretty" to use, but I opened it, and lightning didn't strike ;) lol

Crafty Boots Challenges - Out with the old and in with the new; mid-challenge reminder

Yay! I made it back in time for a mid-challenge reminder! I have a few weeks left before I go back to university, so I am trying to squeeze in as much crafting as possible.

I have decided to have a little break from my usual colours, and play with Calypso Coral. It was a Stampin'  Up! In colour a few years ago, and has since made it to the permanent colour collection. The flower is stamped using Cottage Garden, and it was one of the first stamp sets I purchased as a Stampin'  Up! demo. So that's my 'old' :) The 'new' on my card refers to the sentiment which is from a diecut that I have sponged around to create a negative space. It is part of a set available in the new Occasions catalogue. My card also features a film strip die cut, from the current annual catalogue "On Film" framelits. The background within the film strip was created using my brayer and Kaleidoscope ink palette "Autumn Leaves" inked onto glossy card.

If you haven't already done so, we would love you to play along! Even if you have, I hope we have inspired you to submit more entries!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great week! :)

Creative Card Crew - Challenge 78 For a child

Hi and welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew! This fortnight we want to see your child-inspired projects.

We have two fab sponsors for this challenge

Prize: 3 images

Here is my project for the challenge

I have used the beautiful Sweet Sleep Girl image from Imagine That. It is an entire sheet that contains both coloured and uncoloured images, as well as sentiments. The baby carriage is a tutorial that I found in a back issue of Magnolia Ink, and I have been dying to make it! It doesn't look anywhere near as amazing as Camilla's did, but I'm still really happy with how it turned out.

All the other goodies featured here are Stampin Up except for the image and sentiment (both Imagine That), and the hood on the carriage is cut using the Doohickey Tilda Lace die, oh, and all edges have been inked using Distress Ink Old Paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to check out your amazing creations :)

Crafty Boots Challenges - Out with the old and in with the new

Howdy and welcome to another fab challenge over at Crafty Boots Challenges! This challenge is a fun one, and I will admit, one that took me waaaay out of my comfort zone! This fortnight we want to see your projects that involve "Out with the old, and in with the new".

For my project I used an old Stampin' Up! stamp set, Oh, Hello; and two of the new In Colours; Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create :)
