Creative Card Crew - 105 Anything Goes

We're back after an extended Christmas break! We have a nice cruisey challenge at Creative Card Crew to whet your appetite this fortnight; Anything Goes! We have the lovely Robyn's Fetish sponsoring us for the challenge.

Here is my card

This card was made for my niece's birthday. I've gotten into the habit lately of making cards in pairs so I don't get caught short. It's been very handy over the last month or so, recovering from surgery and unable to craft.

All products used are Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding (sadly retired)

Dies/punches: Triple corner punch (a brand spanking new product that's carried over from the Holiday catalogue), and Butterfly framelits.

Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes (a long-retired hostess set), Work Of Art.

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Boots Challenges - MIDCHALLENGE REMINDER 'Something Old, Something New'

Hi! Last week my card focussed on "Something Old" for Crafty Boots current challenge, and this week it is time to showcase "Something New". This required a bit of outside thinking, as I was very well-behaved over Christmas and didn't buy too many new craft goodies. I did manage to snag the very gorgeous Botanicals For You, which is a new Sale-a-bration release from Stampin' Up! The rest of the products used are where I got a little creative. See, a few months ago, I was gifted a set of 12x12 drawers from an ex Stampin' Up! demo, and unbeknownst to me, it was chockers with cardstock and papers; mainly scrap pieces, but almost all useable. After I picked myself up from the floor and thanked her, the drawers sat in my shed gathering dust until a few days ago, when I decided it was time to audit my stash. So, the rest of the "new" products on this card, are products that were gifted to me, and therefore "new". Probably a bit of a stretch, but hey, that's the beauty of Crafty Boots Challenges; you can interpret any way you like, as long as we can make the connection between your project and our theme! :)

So, ingredient list! Bear with me, as I had to eyeball the colours a wee bit, but it all co-ordinated beautifully, and it's all Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder
DSP: Perfect Plum (from Subtles collection)
Stamp: Botanicals For You
Tools: Top Note Bigz die, Stylish Stripes TIEF
Ink: Wisteria Wonder
Embellishments: Basic Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm thoroughly enjoying your creations, so keep them coming! Have a great week :)

PS: PLEASE NOTE!!! THIS IS PURELY MY INTERPRETATION FOR THE CHALLENGE; THERE IS NO EXPECTATION THAT YOU ARE ONLY TO USE NEW OR OLD PRODUCTS. SO LET YOUR IMAGINATION ROAM WILD!

Crafty Boots Challenges - Something Old, Something New

Happy New Year! My first card for this year is for Crafty Boots Challenges. Our theme is "Something Old, Something New". This theme is a great one because there are so many ways to interpret it! I have used all "Something Old"s on my card.

This card is for a very special lady; I had a horrible month in December with my grandfather passing away, and having surgery a few days before Christmas. I have been on the hunt for a retired Stampin' Up! Stamp set that no one wants to part with for under $70 (and even that is in the US!), and this lady offered me hers, for free. We don't know each other from Adam, but I was so blown away by her generosity that I made this thank you card to send her, along with a small gift.

The products used are all Stampin' Up!

Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Smokey Slate, Memento Tuxedo Black, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride
Stamps: En Francais, Lotus Blossom (the sentiment), A Rose Is A Rose

Watch this space, I will be back next week with my "Something New" card :)
