Creative Card Crew #63 - Nautical

Red sky at night; sailors delight!

Welcome back to another fab challenge at Creative Card Crew! This fortnight we want to see your nautical-inspired projects.

We have two terrific sponsors for this challenge

Marianne Designs
Prize: Surprise!! Dies and/or Acrylic Stamps

Prize: 4 digi images

My project for this challenge is a gift bag

I absolutely LOVE making gift bags, and you can find my first project and the link for the tutorial here

I used a Polly! Scrap kit to make this project. It's an older one, and it was the first kit I ever purchased from them. But it was a nautical theme, and perfect for this challenge (I knew saving it for a rainy day was a good idea!).

This gorgeous image is a Delicious Doodles image - In the harbour. How lovely is it?! It was the perfect choice for my fishing-mad dad, in preparation for Father's Day. I have coloured it up using Copic markers, and added detail to the sky using a white gel pen. As soon as I saw this image, I knew it had to have a "red sky", although I have never tried it before. I'm really happy with how my first attempt turned out.  I have added doodling to the bag using Copic 110. The straps were made using ribbon, and are sitting on the inside of the bag in this picture, as I wanted to give all the focus to the image.

I can't wait to check out your nautical-themed projects! Thanks for stopping by :)
