Crafty Boots Challenges mid-challenge reminder Halloween/Autumn

My card today is for Crafty Boots Challenges mid-challenge reminder; Halloween/Autumn .

I had a play with my distress inks to get this background. There are some amazing tutorials on YouTube. I'm a huge fan of Kristina Werner, so please check her out if you haven't already done so! The stamps I have used are both Stampin' Up! (Best of Halloween, Sheltering Tree), and I have stamped across washi tape to create my sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see your interpretation for the challenge.

Creative Card Crew: Challenge #98 Ribbon

I'm back with another card, this time for Creative Card Crew's latest challenge; 'Ribbon'.

One of my fave digi stamp companies is sponsoring this challenge, 'A Day For Daisies' offering a great prize to a lucky winner!

Here is my card for the challenge

I have used the cute Ladybug Hello and inked up a background with Kaleidoscope 'Autumn Leaves' on gloss cardstock. The sentiment is stamped from Stampin'  Up! Guy Greetings. The DSP is of course from a Stampin' Up! pack, but the name eludes me at the moment. The cardstock and ribbon are both Stampin' Up! Crushed Curry.

Thanks for stopping by!

Crafty Boots Challenges: Pink challenge

My card today is for Crafty Boots 'Pink' challenge. With three little girls, pink is no problem in this house! LOL. It was my eldest daughter's birthday recently, so a perfect opportunity to make a card for her that fit into this challenge.

Excuse the messy craft mat, but, a messy mat is a good mat (as long as the ink is dry of course).

Materials used are:

Cardstock and ink: Stampin' Up! Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Memento Tuxedo Black.
Stamp set: Stampin' Up! 'Just Jawin' '
Embossing folder: Crafter's Companion 'Happy Birthday'

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew: Challenge #97

Hi and welcome back to another fabulous challenge at Creative Card Crew! Our challenge this fortnight is 'masculine', and we are sponsored by Eureka Stamps, who are offering a fabulous prize of 3 digi images to a lucky winner.

Here is my card, using 'Being a father'.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Brushed Corduroy" around the edges, and the DSP is THE LAST SHEET of my Kaisercraft Christmas pad. I love how versatile that pad is/was! It will be sadly missed.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew - Fall

Welcome back to another challenge at Creative Card Crew. Our challenge this fortnight is Fall. Here in Australia, it is the complete opposite of Fall - YAY FOR WINTER BEING OVER!

Here are my cards for the challenge

This was one of those stamp sets that I didn't want until it retired, which was frustrating, but I got it at a very reasonable price, so yay! It's the first time I have played with it, and I couldn't decide which of the cards I wanted to post for the challenge, so I thought I would just upload both. Both cards use all the same materials:

Stamps: SU French Foliage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink: SU Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Cardstock: SU Calypso Coral, Whisper White

The only difference is I inked over the white space on the left card, then spritzed some water. It really softened the inks.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week.

Craty Boots Challenges - Monochrome

Hi, and welcome to a post for Crafty Boots Challenges! Our theme for this fortnight is monochrome. I am a huge fan of monochromatic cards; they look so simple, yet fabulous!

Here is my card for the challenge

I have used Darkroom Door's Old Truck. I have used the Triple Time Stamping technique (check out YouTube for some fantastic tutorials), inked with Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy. The card stock is Stampin'  Up! Baked Brown Sugar (sadly, I am down to my last few sheets :( boo). The sentiment is from Stampin'  Up! Teeny Tiny Sentiments. The DSP used is Kaisercraft 25 Days of Christmas. It's the last sheet from that pad, which is a shame, as it was such a versatile pad; not just useful at Christmas.

Funny story about this card, I originally had planned to give it to my dad for Father's Day, but my husband kept dropping "subtle hints" all week about how much he loved the card, and it was his favourite stamp, etc., so poor dad got Plan B, and hubster got this one.

Have a great week! I will be back with another card later today :)

Crafty Boots Challenges MID CHALLENGE REMINDER

Here is my card for the Fair & Square mid-challenge reminder. I have had the idea for this card in my head for two weeks, but finding the time to sit down and craft proved tricky.

I've gone for both "fair" (colours) and "square" (card shape) with my card, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I have used almost all Stampin' Up goodies here:

Stamps: Butterfly Basics, Gorgeous Grunge
Dies: Bold Butterfly, Butterflies
Inks: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride
Cardstock: Twiddlybitz Kraft pre-made card base

I can't wait to see your beautiful entries! We've already had some amazing projects.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Card Crew #93 Sparkle

It's time for a new challenge at Creative Card Crew! Our theme this fortnight is 'Sparkle', and our sponsor for the challenge is

Sparkle N Sprinkle

Prize: Up to $15 in digi's

Here is my card

I have used the lovely Stained Glass Rounds digi image, and coloured it with Copics. Due to a mishap with my Glossy Accents, I covered the tulips with Glossy Accents, which added a nice dimension to the image. I then used some Tim Holtz die cuts to create a mask to spray some Dylusions spray, and some Tattered Angels glimmer spray. For my chipboard elements I covered them with Gesso and Kindyglitz.

Thanks for stopping by, I can't wait to see your sparkly creations!
